Many of the product photos are the same as the Standard Edition. The individual pieces in the Limited Edition description photos are made of prototype fabrics, so the colors will differ from the actual items for sale. The fabric used in the limited edition is the same as the standard edition.

The main difference from the Gold Tiger is in the pattern of the fabric. It is the Tiger Stripe Pattern, also known as Dud Pole or TDS by collectors due to the presence of a distinctive ladle-like pattern.

MADE IN OKINAWA JAPAN

The main difference between the Standard Edition and the Limited Edition is that the vintage buttons are made of urea resin, the same urea resin used for the Tiger Stripe made in Japan in the 1960s. The Limited Edition is not only a reproduction of the production location, but is also closer to the real thing, down to the sewing details and the position of the fabrics used. The major difference in sewing is in the button holes. Due to the sewing equipment of the time, the button holes of the real Tiger Stripe are different between the lots made in Okinawa and the lots made in mainland Japan. The mainland-made buttonholes are locked tightly, so there is little fraying, while the Okinawa-made buttonholes are not locked tightly enough and will gradually fray after use. In the Limited Edition, the buttonholes are finished in the same way as they were in those days, and are reproduced so that they will fray as they are used. Also, the position and direction of the fabric used is closer to that of the real thing. The finished product is even closer to the real thing in this MADE IN OKINAWA Limited Edition. The zipper used for the zipper fly is a modern product of YKK for both the limited edition and the regular edition. YKK is also used in the actual product. It is a piece of clothing that has been revived to the present day with the scale of the real thing as it is, cut for long distance walking and use in the jungle with a slightly loose fit. The size and depth of the pockets are all precisely reproduced from the original. The inseam is slightly longer so that it can be worn rolled up.

The trousers we offer this time are not Asian cut with small size and button fly, but US cut with zipper fly and pockets at hand. Of course, we obtained the original US cut silver tiger stripe top and bottom for the reissue and measured everything. Even the size of the pocket lid was measured precisely. It is known that the original Silver Tiger shirt size and US cut pants size do not correspond to each other, and the pants are comparatively larger than the shirt.

As the name suggests, the fabrics used in this project are finished in such a way that they gradually fade to a monotone color through washing and sunlight after being worn. When worn, the fabric may turn yellow in some areas. The fabric will gradually fade to white through washing and sunlight, and the entire fabric will turn silver. The fabric is heavier and thicker than Gold Tiger. The number of warp and weft yarns is denser than that of Gold Tiger, so it shrinks less after washing. Shrinkage after washing

Lengthwise: -2%, widthwise: -0.8%. If you notice any shrinkage, please gently stretch the fabric while it is still wet to bring it closer to its original size, just as you did with the previous garment.

It is not our intention at all that our products that have been aged and worn will be distributed as the real thing decades later. Therefore, we have made some differences from the actual item, such as black stitching and selvedge fabric treatment. Please take a look at the product photos for details.

This time we have prepared five sizes from US-S to US-XXL. Size charts are provided as images between the product photos. We have also prepared the following images to help you with your own size measurements, so please be sure to check them before ordering. Size changes can be made by exchange if the item is in stock, or by refund if the item is out of stock. Please note that the cost of return shipping is the responsibility of the customer. We inspect our products, but in the unlikely event that a product is defective, we will replace it with an equivalent product or refund your money after we have confirmed the defect. *Because the finishing factory of sewing is different from the normal version and the limited edition, the paper pattern is also using a different one, so the fit is different. The size also differs in detail even if the same on the dimensions.

Our cotton fabric will shrink. The horizontal shrinkage is -0.8% and the vertical shrinkage is -2%. Shrinkage will be reduced by stretching it gently when it is wet.
