This is an introduction to a very rare jungle fatigue cut Okinawan Tiger jacket. This is the jungle fatigue cut jacket shown on page 118 of the hardcover edition of "Tiger Patterns" by Johnson. The colors are quite different, but our photos of the same jacket have been taken to match the actual colors. If you compare the patterns, you will see that they are the same individual.

This is an individual of the Okinawa Tiger pattern with a print that is relatively bright green and close to a yingling or lime color. It is estimated to be from around 1966-67. Various cuts of tiger pants in this color exist and are very unique, including utility pants cuts and cuts with larger cargo pockets on the pockets. The same is true for jackets. The jungle fatigues cut is also estimated to have been manufactured during this same period. The jacket has a few signs of use, but there is a hole and a stitch mark on the top of the breast pocket that was caused when the brunch tape and name tape were removed. Otherwise, it is clean and has no missing buttons. The buttons are US buttons with indentations. Jacket is 2nd model cut with no exposed buttons. Tiger stripes are often made by individuals or tailors, but these pants are chain-stitched by an industrial sewing machine, indicating that they were made in a factory. The multiple pockets and back adjusters are complex and the manufacturing process is very complex. The fact that these pants have never been used and are relatively small in size suggests that there were other size variations, and it is possible that CISO ordered multiple cuts for trial purposes. In that sense, these are very rare jungle fatigue cut pants. These pants are in near-unused condition, but will be treated as used. Please note that we cannot accept returns.
