A rare pair crafted in the style of the OG-107 utility trousers—commonly known as “Baker pants”—using ERDL Green Leaf camouflage ripstop fabric.

Clearly different from the ERDL combat trousers typically imagined, these feature large patch pockets positioned on both sides of the front. They boast a clean silhouette without cargo pockets and are equipped with large back pockets reminiscent of the OG-107 utility pants.

ERDL (Engineer Research and Development Laboratory) camouflage is a U.S. military camouflage pattern representative of the latter half of the Vietnam War and is an important pattern that led to the later Woodland camouflage. This item features a color scheme dominated by green, commonly known as “Green Leaf” or “Green Dominant.” Furthermore, it is made from a lightweight ripstop fabric with a visible grid-like weave.

Meanwhile, the cut of the pants themselves is extremely close to that of the OG-107 utility trousers, which were used by the U.S. military for a long time. Since the specifications differ significantly from standard ERDL trousers, this is a very intriguing piece that makes one wonder if it was locally made during the Vietnam War era or produced for a specific purpose or under special circumstances. While we cannot definitively determine the detailed manufacturing background, these trousers possess a distinct presence that clearly sets them apart from standard ERDL pants.

Based on the fabric and details, the era is estimated to be around the late 1960s.

Furthermore, this pair possesses a wonderful character that brand-new ERDL pants simply lack. The fabric has faded throughout from wear and washing, with shades of green, brown, and black blending together just right—a look unique to vintage ERDL. The interplay between the ripstop grid and the faded camouflage pattern creates a truly excellent texture.

There are scuffs and repair marks throughout, and on the legs in particular, you can see simple repairs that appear to have been made either at the time or in later years. While these rough repairs add to the charm of a pair that has been used as a practical item, we can also repair them for you after purchase if you’d like. Please contact us if you’d like this service.

Even if you’re searching for authentic ERDL items, this Baker-style pant isn’t something you come across very often.

Green Leaf, ripstop, OG-107 style, and the fade unique to well-worn vintage pieces.
We highly recommend this pair to anyone looking for a piece that’s a cut above the standard ERDL combat trousers.
