The CWU-45/P (Cold Weather Uniform ) is a standard flight jacket of the U.S. Air Force that was introduced in the 1970s and has continued to the present day. This is an actual military item ordered in fiscal year 1976 and manufactured by Greenbrier Industries Inc.
The tag clearly states the official name " JACKET, FLYERS, COLD WEATHER CWU-45/P " and the MIL spec " MIL-J-83388A (established 1973) " and is made of 100% Aromatic Polyamide. This is an early lot, before the name CWU-45P was used.
The distinctive sage green color, large diagonal pocket integrated into the body, utility pocket on the left arm, and other practical design features unique to the CWU series shine through.
The zipper is made of SERVAL brass zipper, which is different from modern CWU with plastic zipper, and it is a piece of clothing with a sense of weightiness and ruggedness unique to vintage.
The condition is used, but there are no tears or major stains on the ribs or body. There are some use and faded color, but you can enjoy it as "taste" of real military.
