This is a Tiger Stripe shirt from the Okinawa Tiger Pattern, manufactured and used around the mid-1960s, with a US cut, two-button chest, and arm bandage pockets, identical to the pattern also known as JWD or John Wayne. Along with the Silver Tiger pattern, the Okinawa Tiger pattern is available in many color variations and lots, and has many differences, including mainland sewing and Okinawa sewing. The Tiger Stripe pattern has been used since relatively early times, and many American advisors and local soldiers can be seen wearing this pattern in old photos from CIDG and other sources.

This is a mid-lot Okinawa Tiger US-S size shirt with the sleeves cut off and modified vest, still stamped US-S, with RECON and South Vietnam jump wings embroidered directly on it. These were probably put in after the war. The condition is faded and feels slightly white. Some of the buttons have been replaced. There are some repairs, etc. Used goods. Please note that returns are not possible.
