This jacket is estimated to have been worn by C-3 Mike Force, a.k.a. "CHINA BOY" soldiers in the Civilian Irregular Defense Group Program (CIDG) during the Vietnam War in the 1960s. This is a Tiger Stripe Jacket. The jacket still has traces of the C-3 Mike Force patch pattern, name tape marks, and branching tape marks. Considering the Tiger Stripe pattern and the actual track record of use, it is estimated that the jacket was most likely worn by a C-3MikeForce soldier. The jacket is an A-M size Okinawa Tiger pattern, originally Asian cut, converted to a fatigued shape with additional pockets sewn on. Normally, Asian cut jackets do not have bandage pockets on the arms, but these have been added using a different pattern fabric. The size of the jacket has also been modified and custom-made.
The jacket has numerous repairs, alterations, and stains. There are many marks where the jacket has been resized. Please understand that it is not in good condition. This is a very rare tiger stripe jacket and a great collection. It is a used item and cannot be returned. Please understand.
