This is an actual Japan Jacket, estimated to be from the early 1950s. It is a very unique jacket with different colors and embroidery on both sides that can be worn reversibly. It was sold as a souvenir to the American soldiers who were stationed in Japan at the time, and later unsold and used items appeared in Japan as well, gaining popularity.
This one is relatively large in size. The jacket has a black surface with white tiger embroidery. The lining is a generic red jacket with a Japanese map and Mt. The black side seems to have been worn mostly and has blue stains. It appears to have been originally scratched and has been repaired with similar fabric. The ribs and other parts are also worn. Despite the signs of use, this jacket is a large size and is of the type many are looking for. It is a used item and cannot be returned. Please understand.
