Actual TAP 47/53 Lizard Camo Combat Pants issued to French military paratroopers (TAP). Based on the tag stamp and details, it is estimated to have been manufactured in the 1950s or early 1960s.
Developed with the same series of jackets for use in actual combat in Indochina and later in the Algerian War, these pants are a masterpiece of military wear that combines excellent durability and mobility. The heavy cotton twill material is decorated with an impressive lizard camo pattern with powerful brush strokes, symbolizing the French military equipment of the time.
The large cargo pockets and the unique pocket flap shape on the back are details that highly integrate functionality and design on the battlefield. There is one missing button on the upper left pocket and one missing button on the lower knee cargo pocket.
Rugged yet sophisticated, these pants are a great addition to your collection or for practical wear. *This is a pre-owned item and cannot be returned. Please understand.
