The A-2 flight jacket was officially adopted by the U.S. Army Air Forces in the 1940s and remains as a symbol of the men in the sky. We have just received this rare jacket with a Crown zipper. The sleeves have some fraying and are in need of repair.

The label is missing, but there is still a "46" tag inside the pocket, which is equivalent to a size 46, but it is a rough estimate. The leather is generally dry and the stitching has become brittle. In its current state, there is a very high possibility that the threads will break if the garment is forced to be worn , so practical use is not recommended. There is also a tear around the right shoulder. Please consider this item as a repair base or for reference only. The lining has been re-covered in later years, but it is very attractive as a restoration base.

If you wish, we can offer to re-paint and repair the leather and re-cover the lining with reissued fabric at actual cost through our network (please contact us through the inquiry form if you wish to do so).

This piece, which has already been worn for more than 80 years, has a presence and material value that is on a different level from "wearable vintage. This is a rare original A-2 that can be used as a design reference, reprint material, or brand archive sample. Please understand that this is an item that is to be repaired or reconstructed before purchasing.
